[Video] Steal These Talking Points For When People Say They Don't Vote

Every election cycle, the same cynical statements make their rounds: "Voting doesn't change anything."

Among Black men in particular, voter apathy is often framed as a form of protest or a decision to withhold support from the electoral proess that has systemically failed to deliver. But walking away from the ballot box isn't as revolutionary as it seems. In fact, it's more like a surrender.

In my latest YouTube video, "Will You Ever Stop Voting?" I talk about voter apathy among Black men, the long history of voter suppression in America, and offer some perspective for talking points to share with individuals who claim that their vote has no impact.

The next time someone tells you voting doesn't matter, remind them: power is never given, but it can be willingly surrendered every time you leave the table. As the 2026 Midterms wraps up, both our wins and losses at the ballots will become our next problems to solve ad we'll need to keep the fight going.
