State of Creativity is an objective, data-backed assessment of today's creative landscape, serving as our 2026 WRLD in Progress report. Presented by Alex the Storyteller, this address exposes the critical realities of audience fatigue, the illusion of metric-chasing, and the deep deficit of trust left behind by widespread artificial intelligence use.

Six glorious years ago, I started a vision with the desire to provide solutions to businesses to see their unlikely visions become likely. A year after launch, that business took a hard pivot to something deeper. As a 30-year-old creator, I wanted to bake purpose, commitment, and conviction into my new business and use my vision to change how and why we tell stories.
That was how MRVL WRLD was born.
The storytelling took its own legs and was fluid enough to go from a poem, to visions for brand launches, a music video, conferences, events, and much more. When they called it content, I pivoted and called it footage. Social media is a tool we use to communicate life at every level, but our stories are bigger than social.
With social media leading the way for what we interpret as the creative landscape, it's important we stay up to speed in understand what's shaping the creative landscape, how it impacts us all, and what we can do about it.
For the very first time, we're taking MRVL WRLD from just telling the story, to shaping that landscape. Join me as we introduce our next big venture.
Every year on June 30th, we've made our announcements and updates under the name WRLD in Progress, but this year is special as we kick off The State of Creativity and our all-new upcoming website.
Way more than just a critique or rant about the industry, State of Creativity is an objective, data-backed address that focuses on a strategic roadmap built specifically for navigating changing social media trends, the influx of artificial intelligence and burn out that comes as a result of all of these factors.
